Have You Got the Write Stuff? Content Creators Wanted
We’re looking for writers, photographers and digital media creators to join the Go.Eat.Live team. Our goal is to discover and relay the kind of recommendations, ideas, and experiences that make you pass along the links.
We don’t want to just blog about stuff that’s covered all over the multiweb, but to curate content that sticks. We don’t want influencers, but guides who can use words and images to convey information people want to read.
Think about the kind of stories that you bookmark, the articles that offer new ways of looking at the same things, videos that capture the wonder of life both ordinary and extraordinary.
We want to feature real experiences for the art of life.
This Is What We Publish
Go. Travel stories, podcasts, videos and guides. We want to read between the lines to see what pops a destination off the map and into a reader’s imagination. For the kind of travel content we enjoy, look to GoNomad for the way they reveal the world.
Eat. Food is not just a craving, but an essential element of life. We feature restaurant reviews, food memoirs, and recipes. Our favorite food blog is Serious Eats. Seriously.
Live. Life. It’s what happens between the cradle and the grave. We hope to cover what distinguishes us as individuals and what draws us together. Tell us about the books you want everyone to know about; music that enflames your heart and jolts a frenzy in your feet; films that may not be Oscar-worthy, but you can’t stop thinking about. How about gaming experiences that changed your humanity? What did you learn about your family at the last reunion? Send us your best memoirs, short fiction, poetry, reviews, essays, contemplative photography or original artwork. We’ve always been a fan of HuffPost.
We pay upon publication, beginning at $10 per content capsule. A capsule includes editorial text and no less than one photograph/illustration. We expect our creative partners to follow us on all their social channels, as well as help promote their work once published. Those wishing to provide media reviews by assignment may receive credentials to obtain review copies of books, music, films and other perks.
We know this rate is a pittance when considering the time and talent that goes into your work, but by paying this small stipend we become a paying market and you earn a paying market credit for your writing creds. Plus, isn’t something is better than nothing? We plan to offer higher rates once the site takes off and we begin earning income.
If you have a blog, why not cross-post with us? Just send us link to the specific blog post and we’ll add your post to our site. While we don’t pay for cross-posting of blogs, cross-posting can increase name recognition, boost your ranking and other metrics.
