June is LGBQT+ Pride in Communities Across America

June is Pride Month, and cities across the United States are hosting vibrant parades, festivals, and events to honor and celebrate the achievements and to support the LGBTQ+ community. Here’s a roundup of some of the most notable Pride celebrations happening this month:


🌈 Washington, D.C. – WorldPride 2025

Washington, D.C. is the proud host of WorldPride 2025, marking 50 years of Pride events in the city. The festivities culminate with the WorldPride Parade on Saturday, June 7, starting at 2 PM from 14th and T Streets NW and concluding near the National Mall. The weekend also features the WorldPride Music Festival at RFK Festival Grounds, with performances by Jennifer Lopez, Paris Hilton, Troye Sivan, and Kim Petras. A free two-day WorldPride Street Festival will be held on Pennsylvania Avenue NW, continuing through Sunday. 


 

🌟 Los Angeles, CA – LA Pride

The 55th Annual LA Pride Parade takes place on Sunday, June 8, 2025, along Hollywood Boulevard. This year’s parade features community grand marshals Trino Garcia and Adam Vasquez, known for their inspiring love story. The celebration continues with the LA Pride Village concert, headlined by Alaska, with special performances by Da Brat and Jessica Betts.


🏳️‍🌈 Boston, MA – Boston Pride for the People

Boston hosts the largest Pride celebration in New England. The Boston Pride for the People Festival and Parade takes place on June 8, starting in Copley Square at 11 AM and ending at Boston Common. City Hall Plaza will also host a block party for visitors aged 21 and up. All events are free to attend. 


🏳️‍⚧️ Chicago, IL – Chicago Pride Parade

The 53rd Annual Chicago Pride Parade is scheduled for June 30, with the theme “Pride is Power.” The parade starts in Uptown and ends in Lincoln Park, expecting over one million attendees. Leading up to the parade, the Chicago Pride Fest in Boystown offers music stages, vendors, drag shows, and more. 


🌟 Denver, CO – Denver PrideFest

Denver PrideFest celebrates its 50th anniversary on June 22 and 23 at Civic Center Park. The weekend includes the Pride 5K, the Coors Light PrideFest Parade on Sunday, and a festival featuring hundreds of exhibitors, vendors, and performers. The event draws over 550,000 attendees annually. 


🎶 New Orleans, LA – New Orleans Pride

New Orleans Pride features dozens of activities throughout the month of June in Cresent City. Events include the Black Queer Legacy Summit, PrideFest, and the Pride Parade June 14, through the French Quarter, ending on Bourbon Street. 


🏳️‍🌈 St. Louis, MO – PrideFest St. Louis

PrideFest St. Louis takes place annually during the last full weekend of June. Organized by Pride St. Louis, the event includes a two-day festival and grand parade, attracting between 350,000-500,000 attendees. 


🎉 Detroit, MI – Motor City Pride

Motor City Pride, Michigan’s largest LGBTQ+ event, is held at Hart Plaza in Detroit on the second Saturday and Sunday of June. The festival features a pride parade, live entertainment, and various vendors. 


🌈 Indianapolis, IN – Indy Pride Festival

The Indy Pride Festival, Indiana’s largest LGBTQ+ pride event, occurs on the second Saturday in June at Military Park in Indianapolis. The festival includes a parade, live performances, and numerous vendors, drawing over 95,000 attendees. 


🏳️‍🌈 Asbury Park, NJ – Jersey Pride

Jersey Pride, the state’s largest and oldest LGBTQ+ event, is held on the first Sunday in June in Asbury Park. The celebration includes a parade starting at Asbury Park City Hall and a festival featuring live music, performances, and family-friendly activities. 



🏳️‍🌈 Dallas, TX – Dallas Pride

Dallas Pride’s main events occur in mid-June. The Dallas Pride Festival is on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Fair Park, featuring live music, vendors, and family-friendly activities. The Alan Ross Texas Freedom Parade follows on Sunday, June 15, 2025, celebrating the LGBTQ+ community’s diversity and resilience. 


🎉 Nashville, TN – Nashville Pride

Nashville Pride takes place on the weekend of June 28–29, 2025. The Pride Parade kicks off on Saturday, June 28, at 10:00 AM, starting at Broadway and 8th Avenue. The Nashville Pride Festival follows, held at Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park, featuring live performances, vendors, and community resources. 


🌈 Cleveland, OH – Pride in the CLE

Pride in the CLE is scheduled for Saturday, June 7, 2025. The march begins at 11:00 AM from Public Square, proceeding to Malls B & C on Lakeside Avenue. The festival includes live performances, food trucks, vendors, and community resources, celebrating Cleveland’s vibrant LGBTQ+ community.


🌈 Raleigh, NC – Out! Raleigh Pride

Out! Raleigh Pride returns for its 13th year on June 20–21, 2025, in downtown Raleigh. The event kicks off with “Out! Raleigh Pride: At Night” on Friday, June 20, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, featuring adult-focused entertainment and vendors. The celebration continues on Saturday, June 21, from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM, offering a family-friendly festival with live entertainment, local vendors, a KidsZone, and a beer garden. Both events are free to attend. 


🌈 Phoenix, AZ – Pride Celebrations

While the main Phoenix Pride Parade and Festival are scheduled for October 18–19, 2025, the city hosts several Pride-related events in June. Notably, the 8th Annual D-backs Pride Night at Chase Field takes place on Friday, June 27, celebrating love, inclusivity, and community. Additionally, the Pride Bar Crawl in Old Town Scottsdale offers drinks, dancing, and music, providing festive options for Pride Month. 

🌈 Portland, OR – Portland Pride Waterfront Festival & Parade

Portland’s Pride celebration culminates with the Portland Pride Parade on Sunday, July 20, 2025, starting at 11:00 AM. This event is the largest parade in Oregon, bringing tens of thousands of people into downtown Portland. The parade is part of the Portland Pride Waterfront Festival, which takes place over the weekend and features live entertainment, food vendors, and community booths. 


🎉 Boise, ID – Boise Pride Festival (Note, this event is not held in June.)

Boise’s Pride festivities are scheduled for September 6–7, 2025, at Ann Morrison Park, offering nearly double the space compared to previous years. The Boise Pride Parade will take place on Sunday, September 7, at 10:00 AM, featuring a new route through downtown Boise. The festival includes live performances, food vendors, and a variety of community resources. 


🌟 Seattle, WA – Seattle Pride Parade & PrideFest

Seattle’s Pride celebration features the Seattle Pride Parade on Sunday, June 29, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 3:30 PM along 4th Avenue in downtown Seattle. The parade includes over 250 groups and showcases local talent and queer joy. Following the parade, PrideFest Seattle Center takes place from noon to 8:00 PM, offering live entertainment, food vendors, and community booths. 


🏳️‍🌈 San Francisco, CA – San Francisco Pride

San Francisco’s 55th Annual Pride Celebration occurs on June 28–29, 2025, with the Pride Parade on Sunday, June 29, starting at 10:30 AM. The parade route runs down Market Street from the Embarcadero to the Civic Center. The celebration includes live performances, community stages, and a variety of events throughout the city. 


🎶 Missoula, MT – Missoula Pride

Missoula’s 4th Annual Pride Festival takes place from June 20–22, 2025. The Missoula Pride Parade is scheduled for Saturday, June 21, starting at 12:00 PM, with staging beginning at 10:00 AM. The parade route runs from 3rd and Higgins to Main and Higgins. The festival includes live entertainment, community booths, and family-friendly activities.
