Hotels Renovate to Enhance Guest Experiences

Craig and Kathryn Hall have renovated La Residence in Napa and rebranded to SENZA Hotel to reflect the hotel’s new modern design and added amenities. The property re-opened in October 2014. Vintage Inn completed its guest room renovations in April 2015. The renovation includes 80 guestrooms, suites and villas redesigned for a new look and guest experience. Design elements include natural Acacia hardwood flooring, hand-tufted wool area rugs woven in India, handsome glass nightstand and floor lamps, and recessed overhead bed lighting. The Harvest Inn by Charlie Palmer will debut their Harvest Lofts in May 2015. The 475-square foot rooms are on the second floor of the resort’s new “Main House,” also home to the newly opened Harvest Table restaurant. Each of the four Harvest Loft rooms include king-size wooden bed frames complete with feather bed and 800-thread count bedding, hardwood armoires and desks, quartz common tables, cozy lounge furniture, and modern pendant light fixtures mixed with ample natural light. Two of these rooms adjoin making this quartet perfect for small groups, from families to couples. Completion of the Harvest Lofts brings the total room count to 78, and construction for four new guest rooms gets underway in Summer 2015. Spa Solage in Calistoga reopened in early May 2015 upon the completion of a $1.2 million renovation, including their six-time Michelin star-rated Solbar restaurant. The expansion added more than 3,000 square feet to the reception building and a co-ed relaxation room. Other enhancements include two new outdoor showers and 56 additional lockers in both the men’s and ladies’ locker rooms, along with refurbishments to the boutique areas. The vision for both interior spaces was designed by Shirley Robinson, principal of Robinson Finishes, a San Francisco-based interior design company. Indian Springs Resort and Spa’s expansion in Calistoga is now complete, with the addition of 75 new Mission Revival bungalows and lodge rooms, new indoor event/meeting spaces and a myriad of outdoor event gardens, including areas for small weddings.  New event areas include the Event Barn, featuring natural light and a private patio, as well as the Fountain Garden and Moroccan Garden, with beautiful water features. Four New Hotels are Planned for Napa Valley

Napa Vineyard House is a fully restored and modernized 1901 Farmhouse and the Napa Valley’s newest Boutique Inn. There are five spacious guest rooms that are each equipped with Restoration Hardware furniture and linens, L’Occitane bath products, and vineyard views. For a more private experience, the Cottage features two bedrooms each with a king sized bed, private patio, gas fireplace and soaking tub. Auberge Resorts will break ground in 2015 on VieVage Napa Valley, a new destination spa resort in the Carneros district, which is slated to open in 2017. The resort will be set on 95 acres of the 712-acre Stanly Ranch and will feature a casual restaurant and bar, bakery, winery, and outdoor gathering spaces with fire pits, barbeques, bocce court, and outdoor concerts. Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. will open Las Alcobas, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Napa Valley in the spring of 2016 as a sister property to Las Alcobas, a Luxury Collection, Mexico City. Las Alcobas, designed by Yabu Pushelberg, represents a comprehensive multi-million dollar renovation that will transform the former Grandview Hotel & Spa in St. Helena. The new property will feature 68 guest rooms and suites with terraces and outdoor fireplaces, a signature restaurant, a 3,500 square foot spa, an outdoor pool, meeting facilities and all of the brand’s signature amenities and services.
